We will be offering bus service to Lake Shastina ONLY this morning. There will be no bus service into the city of Weed. Please be at your normal stop 2 hours later than your normally scheduled time. If you live up Black Bear, or up in the streets above Black Bear, please come down to Elk Trail for pick up. The bus will not be driving up the hills. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Good morning Butteville families. Due to reports of high winds, low visibility, and icy roads including Jackson Ranch Road, I-5, and Highway 97, our buses will not be able to operate today. School will be closed this Friday, March 14, 2025. Please stay warm and safe!
School will open a regular start. Doors open at 7:45 and school stars at 8:20am. The roads are slushy with 1' of snow, so please be careful driving to school. There is a high wind advisory, so cross your fingers that our power stays on today.
Due to road conditions, Butteville Elementary will be closed today 2/7/25. The bus is unable to safely navigate through Lake Shastina. We wish everyone a safe and warm day and weekend. We will see you Monday.
All students are safe, but the bus is currently stuck at the Black Bear stop. Please make your way to Black Bear to unload your child from the bus.
Good afternoon. The weather is starting to disintegrate and roads are getting slushy. We plan to close down early for the safety of students and staff. You are invited to come and pick up your child as soon as possible. We will send the bus to Shastina at 1:30. We are unable to take the van to Weed, if there is no way pick up your child from school, please call the office. We would like all students off campus by 1:45 PM. There will not be after school program today. Due to the storm forecast, please plan on a 10 AM late start tomorrow, Friday 2/7. The sidewalks are cleared and parking lot is scheduled to be plowed this afternoon. We anticipate opening school tomorrow, but will keep you posted, as there is more snow in the forecast. Wishing everyone a safe and warm day!
Due to poor road conditions and power flickering on and off at school, it has been decided that school will be cancelled.
Due to the weather forecast we have made the decision to do a late start tomorrow 2/5/25. School will start at 10:00am. We will let you know by 8:00am if we plan to close school for the entire day.
The bus departed school about 5 minutes ago.
Due to worsening weather conditions and to ensure everyone's safety, we are cancelling all after school activities. We anticipate getting kids loaded on the bus and sent home between 12:30-1:00. We will have a 4x4 drive vehicle ready to take kids home to Weed. If you are able to come pick up your children, we encourage you to do so. Please drive safe.
Due to a kitchen appliance outage, we will be unable to provide a full lunch today. This will mean that we will have an all school dismissal at 12:00 and no after school program. All students will need to be picked up, or take the bus home. We will provide students with a state compliant snack prior to dismissal.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is a minimum day. All students will be releases at 1:00pm. There is no van transportation to Weed and the after school program will be closing at 3:30pm. We wish you all a happy and healthy holiday!
Due to high demand, tamale pickup will NOT be available Monday 12/16. Pickup will be Tuesday 12/17 through Thursday 12/19 at Butteville.
Due to the school closure before break, The Book Fair has extended their days and hours. It will be open today Monday 12/2/24 & Tuesday 12/3/24 from 2:00-4:00pm, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 7:30-8:30am.
Power came back on in Edgewood at 1PM today. We will start at normal bell schedule at 8:20AM on Friday, 11/22. If anything changes regarding the power, we will update you in the morning. Buses will run to both Weed and Shastina in the AM. We will not have our school assembly at 8:45 AM. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the week off!
